About Perfect View Design & Build

Our Story

Perfect View Design & Build was founded in 2003 by Simon in Oakville, Ontario, where the company continues to operate today.

What began as a focus on deck building has grown into a full-service outdoor carpentry company, specializing in custom decks as well as pavilions, pergolas, gazebos, pool houses, and custom saunas. While our services have expanded, deck building remains at the core of what we do.

From the beginning, Simon has had a natural ability for designing unique and functional outdoor spaces. Over the years, that vision has evolved into more complex projects — including fully integrated backyard designs, elevated decks, and fully waterproofed under-deck living areas that extend the usability of outdoor space.

A major part of our approach today is building with low-maintenance, long-lasting materials. We specialize in composite and PVC decking systems designed to withstand Ontario’s climate while minimizing ongoing upkeep for homeowners.

Perfect View Design & Build is proud to be a Trex Platinum Pro Installer, working with industry-leading products from Trex Company to deliver high-performance, low-maintenance outdoor spaces built to last.

In 2019, Simon’s wife Alex joined the company. Together, they continue to grow Perfect View Design & Build while balancing business and family life. Their shared focus is simple: build strong relationships with clients and create outdoor spaces that they would be proud to have in their own home.

Initial Consultation

Our process begins with a phone call or inquiry. This allows us to learn more about who you are, what you’re looking to build, and the overall scope of your project.

Whether low-maintenance materials like composite or PVC decking are the right fit for your project
How we can best support your project

This step helps ensure we’re the right fit before moving forward.

On-Site Meeting

Once we’ve established alignment, we schedule an on-site consultation.

During this visit, we:

Review your space in detail
Take measurements and assess grading
Discuss layout, materials, and design direction
Explore material options including composite, PVC, and wood
Further refine budget expectations

This is where the project begins to take shape and we determine the best path forward based on your goals and the complexity of the build.

Moving Forward

From this point, the process varies depending on the scope of work.

For simpler projects such as decks or pergolas, we can often move forward with a concept and detailed quote.

For larger or more complex outdoor living projects, a design phase is required. This may include scaled plans, elevations, and 3D renderings before construction pricing is finalized.
